The folks at Transworld Snow and Ollie Pop Gum are sponsoring a celebrity poker tournament to benefit Protect Our Winters (POW) at the Hard Rock Las Vegas tomorrow. The tournament will feature pro snowboarders and pro poker players. POW was founded by boarding legend Jeremy Jones and is a "tax exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to reversing the global warming crisis by uniting the winter sports community and focusing our collective efforts towards a common goal." Great cause so check out POW and see how to get involved with what they are doing. Correct rider Vincent Remmel will be playing in the tournament and Correct is a sponsor.

I first heard about Hot Doug's two years ago from a friend in Chicago. For some reason ever time I was in Chicago I never made it there, until now. Yesterday I rolled up there at 11am and even in 5 degree weather, there was already a line out the door. Doug himself works the counter taking all orders. At Hot Doug's they do classic dogs and take it to a whole other level with the Daily Specials. I went with the Smoked Portuguese Chourico with Saffron Rouille and Iberico Cheese, a regular char dog and a side of duck fat cheese fries. I wish I could properly describe how good this meal was, but I can't. So if you're in Chicago sometime go there and find out.
